New advertising tools deserve a controlled evaluation. The practical question for a small business is whether a feature helps produce accurate creative, make understandable decisions and manage work within an agreed budget. The preparation steps below are our recommendations.

What Meta announced

On 6 October 2026, Meta described a wider rollout of Ads Creative Studio and generally available image-to-video generation in Advantage+ creative. It also described tests of assistant capabilities for creating campaigns and changing targeting or budgets. Check the features visible in your account; an announcement does not make every tested capability universally available.

Prepare one small creative test

Choose a single offer and an approved source image. For a hypothetical tailoring business, the test might explain how to book a consultation using a photograph the business owns. Keep the service description, contact destination and conditions consistent. Review any generated movement, text or product details before approval. Reject a variation if it changes the garment, suggests unavailable stock or makes the offer harder to understand.

Keep spending decisions explicit

Before enabling an assistant that can take actions, write down who approves creative, targeting, publication and spending. Specify a maximum test amount and a review date. Read each proposed change rather than approving a collection of unclear actions together. Keep an internal record of what was changed and why. A team member should be able to explain the campaign without depending on the assistant’s conversation history.

Judge the result against the business task

Compare preparation time, corrections, useful enquiries and fulfilled orders with the existing process. Include the time spent checking generated work. Continue only when the workflow remains understandable and manageable. A tool demonstration is not evidence of profit. End the review with one decision: retain the approach, improve a specific step or stop the test.
